Jacqueline Mariano has being working at the Research and Development Department of National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency of Brazil (ANP) since 2005. Currently, she coordinates the energy efficiency activities of the regulator. Jacqueline has sixteen years of experience with energy issues, focusing on the hydrocarbons industry and its strategic issues. Before joining ANP, she worked for seven years as a researcher at Energy Planning Program of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ), carrying out many consulting projects about energy modeling, energy and oil markets, climate change, strategic environmental assessment, renewable energies, energy efficiency and other major issues related to the overall energy industry. Among the main project customers, were Petrobras (the Brazilian state owned company), El Paso Energy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Mines and Energy, Center for Clean Air Policy, Brazilian Petroleum Institute, British Petroleum, Shell, World Bank and Transpetro. Jacqueline is a chemical engineer specialized in environmental engineering, also holding a Master and Doctorate degrees, both from Energy Planning Program of COPPE/UFRJ.
